The WIND Educational Program is an on-site accredited junior and high school program through the Grant School District Community Charter Schools. Students attend classes 5 days a week through the entire year, and earn credits towards graduation, prepare for GED testing, and improve academic and social skills. The school program, essentially a one-room school, provides a safe atmosphere, individual attention, and enriched support to help kids get back on track or in many cases reestablish their school program that has been totally disrupted by the instability of the homeless/unstable status of their families. The school is not a continuation school or a program for disciplinary problems; the difference is that our students want to participate and learn. In addition to meeting all of the traditional academic requirements, our students participate in art, cooking classes, journalism, health and physical education, and a host of other enrichment activities.
