The Wind Youth Drop-In Center is a safe, non-judgmental space for homeless and runaway youth away from the dangers of the street. Through the Drop-In Center, youth experiencing homelessness are offered a welcoming and age-appropriate environment away from the dangers of the street. Youth have access to our health clinic, which provides basic services and STD and HIV testing and education. In order to address the underlying causes of each youth’s situation, a full-time counselor is on staff at the Drop-In Center, and available to any youth.

Through the Drop-In Center, we provide:

  • Access to shelter
  • Warm meals
  • Peer support
  • California IDs & birth certificates
  • Laundry services
  • Employment assistance
  • Educational assistance
  • Case management services
  • Creative workshops
  • Therapeutic groups
  • Showers
  • Crisis intervention
  • Drop-in counseling
  • Mental health respite

Additionally, groups such as anger management, homelessness, employment, trauma, grief and loss, stress management, and self- esteem are also offered at the Drop-In Center weekly.
