Drop-In Center

The Wind Homeless Youth Drop-In Center is a safe, non-judgmental space for homeless and runaway youth away from the dangers of the street. Through the Drop-In Center, youth have access to our health clinic, which provides basic services and STD and HIV testing and education. In order to address the underlying causes of each youth’s situation, a full-time counselor is on staff at the Drop-In Center, and available to any youth.

Through the Drop-In Center, we provide:

  • Access to shelter
  • Warm meals
  • Peer Support
  • California IDs & Birth Certificates
  • Laundry services
  • Clothing closet
  • Employment assistance
  • Educational assistance
  • Case management services
  • Creative Workshops
  • Therapeutic Groups
  • Showers
  • Crisis intervention
  • Drop-in counseling

Additionally, groups such as anger management, homelessness, employment, trauma, grief and loss, stress management, and self- esteem are also offered at the Drop-In Center weekly.
